Galactic Shuts Down Welf.xyz, Wrapped Elves Bid Farewell

Welf.xyz, home to 500 uniquely hand-drawn Wrapped Elves by Shawn Smith, is set to close by June 30, 2023. The playful on-chain, SVG holiday project was a fun experiment in wrapping and unwrapping mechanics.

Unfortunately, Galactic is closing, and Welf.xyz is no longer supported. Welf.xyz (Wrapped Elves) was 500 fantastic elves hand-drawn by our wonderful friend, Shawn Smith (aka Shawnimals). Wrapped Elves were a pun-tastic, on-chain, SVG holiday treat we made for fun and learned a lot about the mechanics of wrapping and unwrapping.

Galactic is closing

Unfortunately, General Galactic Corporation is shutting down. We had a wonderful time and built terrific things.

We want to give a massive shout to our fantastic users, the brilliant Galactic team, and our unwaveringly supportive investors. While it’s a bummer that Galactic won’t be around, we’re proud of what we have created during our time together.
